As the Executive Director of Dunamas® Center Ministries I am excited to have you visit our website.
Dunamas® Center Ministries is the fulfillment of a vision God gave me back in 1991, before I was a doctor. At that time I was a wife and mother. I also taught childbirth education classes, and attended births as a childbirth assistant. I knew that God would have me develop a center that would help families connect with Him in a deeper way during pregnancy and childbirth. That was a big enough idea to scare me!
Little did I know that in the years to come God was preparing me, professionally and personally, for something even bigger. Along the way. I felt led to go to graduate school to get a Ph.D. to develop my knowledge and ability to support families, not only through childbirth, but through marriage counseling and postpartum support as well. I now hold a Ph.D. in Christian Clinical Psychology from South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary. Other areas of the vision God gave me are also being fulfilled through speaking and writing.
We now have two divisions at Dunamas® Center Ministries: Dunamas® Marriages and Discerning Childbirth®. I am the lead counseling at Dunamas® Marriages and Amanda DeJesus is the director of Discerning Childbirth®. You can read her bio below. I am also in the final stages of do the final touches on our new workbook for Dunamas® Marriages . Watch our website for upcoming order information and the new classes/intensives I have developed for churches.
In addition to the marriage counseling and birth education, I am a specialist in working with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from lifelong traumatic experiences. I also work extensively with understanding and healing for Birth Traumatomology Syndrome™ (BTS) for moms who have had cesareans and other traumatic births. I have also done research on postpartum mood disorders, and have developed a post birth care plan handbook. Click here to get your free downloadable copy of Post Birth Care Plan for a Discerning Childbirth®.
I have a deep desire to help churches develop a Titus 2 program that will support post birth families. If the church can really step up as the family that cares at this time, young families will not be pressured to have to take on the burden of paying a postpartum doula.
My approach to marriage, birth, and family health is holistic in that I believe God made us body, mind, and spirit, and all three areas need to be cared for and healed. I do this by helping my clients/students with the process of connecting to God more deeply through prayer; helping their thinking through cognitive retraining focused on Christ; and helping their overall physical health through nutritional counsel and support when needed.
I have been married to my husband, Mike, since 1982. I am blessed by his understanding of God’s call and his continued support; spiritually, emotionally, and financially. Mike and I have three grown sons and are enjoying the grandparenting years. We live in Colorado Springs, CO
I hope you will dig into this web site and explore all that God has given me to share with you. And welcome to my world!

I am Amanda DeJesus, the Director and lead teacher of the Discerning Childbirth® division of Dunamas® Center Ministries.
I am a Colorado Springs native. I’ve been following Jesus for 14 years now. My journey of faith has been filled with a number of trials and tribulations that have greatly contributed to my passion for building Christ-centered, heart connected families right from the start. God has been gracious in using my messes to communicate His message of love and redemption.
I’ve been married to my husband Michael since 2017 but we’ve known each other for over 18 years. We have 7 children, three I gave birth to, one I gained through our marriage and three, which includes a set of twins, who were born into the loving arms of our heavenly Father.
I became involved with the ministry in 2016 when I was pregnant with my 3rd child and saw a post on Facebook about the center’s need for someone to fill the position of childbirth educator. While attending the series I learned that trusting in God’s overall design, and choosing to involve Him in every detail of the journey into parenthood, is something that most believers, including myself, give little to no thought about, unfortunately. I was so profoundly impacted by how Dr. Pauline was teaching couples to use this time in their lives to grow their relationship with each other while drawing them closer to Jesus and build greater testimonies of God’s love and faithfulness.
So, after much prayerful consideration, a clear calling by God, and some creative scheduling I completed my training about a year later. It is now my honor, privilege and passion to be a watchmen standing at the gates of life helping couples and churches navigate through the childbearing years and beyond. It is my deepest desire to continue to teach couples how to step out boldly and take a leap of faith in their choices, so that no matter the outcome, they can experience complete confidence and God’s peace in their pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. I look forward to continuing to glorify God one couple and one choice at a time.

Steven Antonovich - A.K.A. Prayer Dude
My name is Steve Antonovich and at Dunamas Center they call me “prayer dude” because I manage the intercessory prayer teams. I lost my wife 5 years ago. We have been married for 50 years. I have three children and 11 grandchildren. My life started when I was 32 years when I found Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I am 71 years old and have done various things in my life in service to the Lord. I have led a prayer group, took communion to the shut-ins, counseled engaged couples, street ministry, and worked with the homeless. I have studied Theology and was to be ordained as a house church pastor with Dove International.
Since my wife passed 5 years ago my life has changed dramatically. I have been into the valley and have gotten a deeper understanding of what it means to have my God active in my life. I have learned the importance of His word and time spent with Him in praise and prayer. A relationship with Him is my goal! I want desperately to help people grow by understanding how important their relationship is in their life. My two favorite sayings are, ”How is your heart?” and “We are warriors!”
As the head of the prayer teams for Dunamas® Center Ministries and it's divisions: Dunamas® Marriages and Discerning Childbirth® I would love to pray for you. Please send me an email with your prayer requests and let me know if you would like me to share it with our prayer teams or keep it private.

I was born, and lived, in the Topeka/Manhattan, KS area until 2003 when God called me to move to Colorado Springs. I became a nurse in 1983, and worked in all areas of nursing over the years. Before moving to Colorado, there was 3 things that the Lord told me I would do. One of them, and the last one He told me was I would work in a ministry.
The first to happen is I started working with Dr. Pauline in the development and formation of the Dunamas® Center Ministries. In 2009 came on staff full-time. When you call the Dunamas® Center Ministries I am the person you will most likely interact with first. Although Dunamas® Center Ministries is a privately held organization, it has a ministry heart—fulfilling the call God put on my heart back in 2003.
In 2014 I retired as a nurse. Even with working at Dunamas® Center Ministries I was doing part-time nursing. Did not retire from the Dunamas® Center. The passion that God has given me for this work is hard to believe. In reading the Bible I do not find the word “retirement” in it. It is my belief that God can and will use me in this time of my life. I work beside Dr Pauline to bring praise, honor and glory to God.
I have 3 adult children and enjoys my 5 grandchildren. I look forward to serving you,
